A FIRE was "started deliberately" at a skatepark.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to Widnes last night following reports of a fire.
One crew, from the Widnes station, arrived at Lanark Gardens at 9.15pm on Friday (December 19) to find a small fire at a skatepark, understood to be the Upton Rocks Skatepark.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
"The fire is believed to have been started deliberately," said a spokesperson for CFRS.
