RESIDENTS are being urged not to worry if they see people climbing one of the bridges crossing the River Mersey this week.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has put out a notice regarding firefighters conducting training on Silver Jubilee Bridge.
This will take place from around 9.30am on Wednesday morning and will continue through to around midday.
The bridge will remain open while the exercise takes place.
The team at Runcorn Fire Station said: “Fire crews from blue watch Runcorn will be carrying out some height safety training on the Silver Jubilee Bridge on January 17 at 9.30am to midday.
“This is just training and is nothing to worry about, The bridge is still open.”
