FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a smoke-logged home in Widnes yesterday afternoon, Monday.
One fire engine from Widnes Fire Station was dispatched to St Ambrose Road at around 5.15pm.
This came following reports of heavy smoke logging at a home, which was reported to have been caused by wiring burning against an oil heater.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with one hose reel, located the heater and removed it outside.
They then used a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke.
