MUCH-LOVED Irish stand-up Jimeoin will be bringing his new show to Runcorn in the new year.

Jimeoin keeps his audiences in stitches all over the UK, Europe, USA and his adopted Australian homeland and will be at The Brindley on February 20.

Jimeoin left his Northern Irish home in Portstewart in the 1990s and settled in Australia where he fell into his comedy career by chance after a friend dared him to get up at an open mic night in Sydney.

His disarmingly relaxed and often nonsensical humour fast led him to becoming a household name, and he has achieved the remarkable feat of evolving his comedy and remaining at the top of his game for well over 30 years. His Edinburgh fringe debut in 1993 completely sold out to rave reviews and he has returned most years ever since (27 sold-out runs to date).

Jimeoin regularly performs extensive sell-out tours of Australia, UK and Ireland, also selling out his solo season off-Broadway in New York. He has written and starred in two feature films, had multiple TV series in Australia and Ireland and released a dozen comedy specials.

Jimeoin has starred on The Royal Variety Performance, Live at the Apollo, Sunday Night at the Palladium, Conan O’Brien and has hundreds of millions of views of his online and social media comedy clips as well as his hilarious 'Gag-a-Day' posted in the pandemic. However nothing beats seeing this observational maestro live.
