FIRE crews and ambulances attended a collision involving two vehicles in Widnes.

Firefighters attended the scene of the crash on Birchfield Road at approximately 10.58pm yesterday, Saturday.

Two cars had collided on the road causing one to flip onto its side.

Cheshire police were all in attendance to assist in helping make the scene safe.

Meanwhile emergency services gave medical assistance to those involved, including giving first aid and oxygen to one casualty.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire Service said: "Crews were called following a collision between two cars, one of which was on its side.

"They assisted police in making the scene safe and helped ambulance crews provide first aid and oxygen to one casualty."
