A BELOVED hospice providing free end-of-life care in Halton has announced its next amazing Arctic fundraiser.

Halton Haven Hospice will be embarking on an Arctic challenge in 2025.

The hospice offers free, specialist palliative care to those living with terminal conditions.

Each year it costs the hospice £2.5million to run, and it is reliant on the support of residents to continue offering their vital services to the community.

This challenge will offer participants a trip of a lifetime while making a real difference to those who rely on the hospice’s services.

Those taking part will spend eight days in the middle of Sweden, set in a stunning and pristine wilderness environment.

The challenge combines the ability to adapt to the surroundings whilst getting the opportunity to experience tranquillity under the stars of the Arctic.

Participants will take part in husky driving, ice fishing, trapping, hunting, shelter and snow hole building and skiing to name but a few.

Fundraising manager at the hospice, Tina Gill, said: “If you want to take on an amazing challenge and make a difference at the hospice, join Team Haven and take on our Arctic challenge.

“Other than your team, local guides and reps, you will not see another human. You will be immersed in pure Arctic experiences. This really is going to be an adventure.”

With limited spaces available, the hospice is advising people to express their interest as soon as possible.

An information event will take place in November at the hospice to encourage those interested to get in touch.
