NEXT year one lucky person will receive the unique opportunity to press the big red button to start the demolition of part of Fiddlers Ferry Power Station.

The iconic site is set for demolition by Peel Natural Resources and Energy (NRE), who bought the site and decommissioned it after 50 years.

Peel NRE offered the Warrington Disability Partnership the opportunity run a raffle to raise vital funds to continue the charity’s work.

Here is all the information you need to know about the demolition raffle draw.

Who WDP are and how will the money be used?

Warrington Disability Partnership, WDP, is a values based, user led charity which aims to relieve the need of disabled people, their families and carers in England and Wales.

They do this through actively promoting independent living, promoting information on peer counselling, equipment, personal assistance, transport, access, employment, education, training and a range of other services.

With over 30 years’ experience of developing and delivering mobility and independent living services, their aim is ‘to support disabled people and people living with long-term health conditions’.

All monies raised by the sale of raffle tickets will help WDP continue and develop all of their services (particularly many of their unfunded services) to support local disabled people and those affected by disability.
