POLICE have slammed the actions of a selfish driver when parking their vehicle.
Cheshire Police officers in Runcorn say they came across the ‘worst example of inconsiderate parking they have seen in some time’.
The commercial vehicle was parked fully on the pavement in the Halton Brook area of the town.
Officers who came across it say a fixed penalty notice was issued to the driver, with the vehicle also moved on.
The force’s Halton Brook Police team said: “This is probably the worst example of inconsiderate parking we have seen in some time.
“Not only is the van blocking the footpath completely, but it is also blocking the textured drop kerb paving installed for partially sighted pedestrians.
“This is all right by a long row of bungalows occupied by senior citizens.
“A fixed penalty notice was issued and the vehicle was moved shortly after.”
