FORMER classmates from Wade Deacon High School will come together for a heart-warming reunion, 40 years since they left the school gates.

Pupils who attended the school between the years of 1983 to 1988 have been invited to attend a special event in November to reunite and share fond memories.

The nostalgic event will be ticketed at £3 per person and tickets can be booked through the private Facebook page Wade Deacon 1988 Graduates.

Organisers wish to keep the location private, but all details can be found by joining this page or the WhatsApp group created for the reunion.

More than 50 tickets have already been sold for the reunion.

Event organiser, Andrew Hogg said: “It is an evening for meeting up, recalling old times and a bit of dancing to the 80s tunes the DJ will be playing. There is a bar 7pm to 11.30pm.

“There are lots of pictures, stories and banter in the Facebook group, and we have not forgotten those from our cohort who are no longer with us.

“We will have memory books for people to share their memories of those no longer with us, which we will be giving back to their families.”
