CREAMFIELDS is the most ‘Instagrammable’ festival in the UK, according to new research.

The Daresbury music festival has nearly 490,000 hashtags on the social media platform.

It has been ranked first in a top 10 list complied by experts at Boohoo who dove into Instagram stats and analyse the number of hashtags for the most popular UK festivals to see which ones are ‘most favourable’ on social media.

They found the festival, which takes place on the fields off Chester Road each August Bank Holiday, has 487,750 hashtags.

Glastonbury came in behind Creamfields but with less than half the number of hashtags at just 181,410.

In third place was Glastonbury with 117,948.

Meanwhile at number 10 was Y Not Festival in the Peak District with 21,626 hashtags.

A spokesperson from Boohoo commented: “UK festivalgoers have made quite an impact on Instagram over the years, sharing their festival snaps and videos from some of the most anticipated and famous UK festivals during the summer.

“Alongside sharing photos of the artists that may have headlined, there has been a rise in interest in sharing 'festival fashion' snaps, with influencers and celebrities showing fans their thoughtfully pieced-together outfits in the hopes of gaining likes and attraction towards their pages."
