FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog from a smoke logged building in Widnes.
Cheshire fire crews were called after reports of heavy smoke coming out of the window of a house in Widnes.
Upon arrival, after one engine was sent from Runcorn and Widnes respectively, fire crews searched the property.
No one was found in the home on Chadwick lane, but a dog was rescued from the house.
Firefighters extinguished a fire found in the house, and used a fan to remove the large amount of smoke coming from the building.
Cheshire Fire Service have stated that it is believed the fire was started accidentally.
