YET another weather warning has been issued across the north west of England.
Three alerts have been issued this week for wintery weather, including snow and ice.
It is the latter that is being warned again for this evening, Thursday, and tomorrow morning, with the Met Office stating that ice will cause ‘some challenging travelling conditions’.
The warning will come into effect from 5pm this evening, and it will remain in place through to 10am tomorrow morning.
The alert states that icy patches will develop on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, posing a risk of injury from slips and falls.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Wintry showers will gradually die out through Thursday night.
“With skies clearing, surfaces are expected to fall below freezing, leading to ice developing on untreated surfaces.”
