A BOOK collating all the innovative works of writers at a school in Runcorn will soon be released, showcasing a ‘fantastic’ range of non-fiction stories.

The creative students of a writing group at St Chad’s RC and Church of England Academy formed the anthology of work, titled ‘Runaway Writers’ which will be released to families and friends of the pupils this week.

The book will feature stories from each of the writers and will cover a range of genres from graphic novels to murder mysteries.

St Chad’s Creative Writers Club is led by English teacher; Paula Radford who has been left ‘impressed’ by the creative minds of the group.

After seeing a rise in interest towards the club in the past year, pupils of the Academy have expressed how beneficial the group has been in improving their writing skills.

The members will be taking part in a book signing and will be reading extracts of their work at a special event at the school soon.

Mrs Radford commented on the book release saying: “I have been so impressed by the imaginative pieces created so far.

“I am looking forward to sharing their work with staff, pupils and parents”.
