A MUSICAL adaptation of beloved Christmas classic ‘Elf’ is being brought to the stage in Runcorn by theatre group ‘Centenary Theatre Company’.

The tale follows Buddy, who accidentally crawls into Santa’s sack of gifts as a child and is magically transported to the North Pole. After years of being raised as an Elf Buddy discovers he is really a human and undertakes a journey to New York to find his father and help him understand the joys of Christmas.

The theatre company have been working on this show since June, singing about Christmas all the way through this year’s heatwave with their cast ranging from seven all the way up to over 70!

Centenary Chairman Ria Hall said that “There’s something magical about the story of ‘Elf’ that we as a company have felt since we first started rehearsing.”

She went on to say she believes seeing the show is ‘the best way to start the festive season, with a fun, family theatre event that will have everyone believing in the magic of Christmas’.

Running from November 15 through to November 19 at The Brindley in Runcorn, the show is also set to put on two BSL signed performances on Wednesday November 16, and the afternoon showing on the 19th.
