‘Manfred Mann’ are set to bring their UK tour to Runcorn to celebrate band's 60th Anniversary.

The rock band, who have now rebranded themselves as ‘The Manfreds’, will return for a ‘much awaited’ performance at ‘The Brindley’ in Runcorn, September 28.

Well known for classic hits such as ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’, ‘Sha La La’ and ‘Pretty Flamingo’, the new group will feature original frontman, Paul Jones, and original guitarist Tom McGuiness.

Joining them on stage will be new additions including Pete Riley on drums, Mike Gorman on keyboards, Marcus Cliffe on bass and Simon Currie on saxophone/ flute.

Rising to fame in the 1960s, Manfred Mann were regularly in the UK charts with well-loved songs ranging in genres between R&B, blues and rock.

In their upcoming show, as well as playing their best hits and a variety of popular jazz and blues covers, the lead singer Paul will also be showcasing a few tracks from his upcoming single ‘The Blues’, due to be released, September 20.

More than 20 tour dates have been announced so far and tickets are on sale now for £27.
