THIS is the story of how one Lymm physio and gym space is taking the next step in its development.

After calling Birchbrook Road its home for more than two years, The MVMT Room is now perched on the side of the Bridgewater Canal at Lymm Marina.

It was set up by Sam Caddick – a physio – who went to Bridgewater High School and Alex Higham – a strength and mobility coach – to help rebuild bodies, not break them.

They have been welcomed with open arms by the village and now can take the next step.

“I soon noticed with thee physiotherapy that as people were coming through the door and I was helping them with their issues, it was not only something that I loved to do and that I am confident with my own skills but that the people around me and the Lymm community were really enjoying what we had to offer,” said Sam.

“They appreciated Alex and the personal training element of what we brought to the table with the idea of movement and mobility.

“The space was a great stepping stone for us and then it was time for us to move to bigger and better things.

“We have found a unit that doesn’t have the same barriers as we now have private parking, outside space, the sun shining in, it’s open, the ceilings are higher and it’s a bigger space.

“We are really humble about where we were but moving to this bigger space has been great for us.

“We’ve been really appreciative of the people of Lymm and the support and dedication they have brought to us.”

With a larger gym space, the move also allows for a membership platform named MVMT membership with classes for between six and eight movers in either a strength and fitness class as well as a movement and mobility class.

Sam, a former Grappenhall resident continued: “It’s a small group personal training experience.

“We have found that 1-2-1 personal training is great as you get the guidance but it can be quite expensive.

“Classes are cheaper but people don’t get the amount of support and guidance they need to actually make changes and create positive results.

“We are now creating to create a little community of movers and people that want to get fitter, faster, stronger or lose weight in an affordable halfway point.

“We provide all the perks of a personal trainer with the nutritional guidance and fitness regimes or programmes, the support of being in a group environment and the accessibility to book the unlimited classes when you want.

“Because the gym space will be busier with the membership classes, there is a private physio space too with equipment. I want the physio side to maintain the quality to properly rehab people."

And the move has allowed them to take on two more like-minded people to bolster the team.

“We want to educate people on how they can create longevity in their life and create a body that you are comfortable in and along the way you will lose weight and gain strength,” added Sam, of south Manchester.

“We want to create positive, long-lasting change and not just be a quick fix.

“Health isn’t just what is on the scales, there is a lot more to it than that.”

“Having the ability to bring in other like-minded individuals like Tom and Nisha means we can help more people and offer more of a service.

“This new space allows us to do that.”
