With thousands of festivalgoers expected to descend on The Castle between Friday, July 8 to Sunday, July 10, there is lots of information to take in.

So, we thought we would run through some of the key elements of what you need to know about the event.

Are there still tickets for Halton Castle Beer Festival?

Saturday is now sold out and minimal tickets will be available on the door.

There are plenty of tickets available for Friday and Sunday.

Can I park at the event?

There is no parking at the event so visitors are advised to arrive by public transport.

There will also be pick-up and drop-off spaces right outside the event entrance and Halton Lea North bus stop is a 10-minute walk from the festival.

What time does Halton Castle Beer Festival open?

The festival opens at 12pm each day and will close up around 11pm.

What beers are on offer?

There are 30 different real ales all brewed within 30 miles will be available across the weekend and 10 beers will be on the bar at any one time. As soon as one runs out it will be replaced by something new.

Soft drinks, cocktails, wines, spirits and lagers will also be on offer.

Will there be food?

There will be gourmet barbecue options courtesy of the team from The Castle pub.

Is there live music?

Yes, live music will begin from 2pm each day and will feature some local artists and performers including Matthew McGurty, On The Fly, The Bear Around Your Neck, Soma Sons and Liam Hillyer.

DJs will also be playing throughout the day.

What else is there to do?

Each day at 1pm there will be a free walking tour of Halton Village followed by pub quizzes, guided beer tastings and a beer pong tournament.

  •  Food – including picnics
  • Animals other than guide dogs
  • Potential weapons of any kind
  •  Illegal substances
  • Bag searches will be in operation at the event.

Can I leave re-enter after leaving?

Re-entry is not permitted for day ticket holders, so you won’t be able to come and go.
