SANDYMOOR is blooming after the installation of some lovely flower planters.
Residents have been working with the Parish Council to install the new additions.
Cllr Steve Mahon, the chair of Sandymoor Parish Council, said: "Sandymoor is already a great place, but there's no harm in adding even more colour.
“I'd like to thank all of our local volunteers for helping us achieve this.
“We have a number of other projects in progress to improve the Sandymoor area, and always welcome input from residents, so watch this space!”
The first planters were put on Newmoore Lane and Wharford Lane. They were installed before the Jubilee and are now ‘absolutely thriving’.
Three more have now been ordered which will be placed outside of the shops with plans to be installed by early August.
The Parish Council is also welcoming the input of residents on the placement of benches – after receiving funding for six thanks to the National Lottery.
