TWO spectacular light trails are coming to areas nearby Runcorn this Christmas.

And tickets are now on sale for both.

Christmas at Dunham Massey

The popular Christmas at Dunham Massey – an after-dark illuminated festival trail – will return to the historic venue from November 18 to January 2.

And although it is only June, demand for the hugely popular Christmas light trail is high, so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Matthew Findlay, head of UK trails for Sony Music/Raymond Gubbay Ltd, said: “We were thrilled with the fantastic response from visitors who enjoyed the trail last Christmas and our planning and preparation for Dunham Massey is already well underway for this year.

“Look out for some new surprises!”

The family friendly one-mile trail will once again be packed with captivating illuminations.

Curated installations this year include larger than life Giant Lilies, a multi-coloured laser garden and the dandelion-inspired ‘Light a Wish’ - huge glowing structure that reaches high into the night sky.

Independent street food vendors will also bring a delicious twist to the event with tasty treats on offer.

The trail is designed for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Christmas at Delamere Forest

Following the success of the first Christmas at Delamere Forest – tickets are now on sale for the stunning illuminated trail.

You can wander through the specially chosen illuminations – all choreographed to the soundtrack of festive music from classics to contemporary favourites – from November 25 to December 31.

The family-friendly festive trail features the stunning Christmas Cathedral, in which more than a thousand pea lights will be woven within the forest landscape.

There will also be internationally acclaimed installation Florison, multi coloured lights bursting from the undergrowth and fizzing up the trees like fireworks, and a walk beneath glittering chandeliers that create a woodland ballroom as never seen before.

“We were thrilled with the fantastic response from visitors who enjoyed the trail last Christmas and our planning and preparation is already well underway for this year,” said Matthew Findlay, head of UK trails for Sony Music/Raymond Gubbay Ltd.

“Look out for new surprises and you’ll see the forest in a completely new light!”

Independent street food vendors bring a delicious twist with tasty treats on offer.

There will be traditional fairground rides to enjoy as well and Father Christmas may be spotted along the way.
