HALTON is turning purple this June in order to fundraise for a hospice.
This is part of Halton Haven Hospice’s annual Forget Me Not Month – and the team are inviting the borough’s residents to join in on the fun.
Hospice staff are hoping that the community will ‘turn purple’ and organise their own purple-themed fundraising activities to raise money.
Different ways of fundraising for Halton Haven include:
- Cake sale
- Coffee morning
- Red wine tasting
- Pub quiz
- Dress down day
- Five-a-side tournament
- Sponsored bike ride
- Dye your hair purple
Various companies have already pledged their support for the event.
Merseyflow marked the Forget Me Not Month by turning the bridge purple and Runcorn Station will be lighting up its new piazza in purple to mark the occasion.
Halton Haven Hospice also has exclusive Forget-Me-Not pin badges for sale which are available to buy from the hospice itself or their shop on Queens Avenue, Widnes.
CEO Viv Culleton said: “We are really reaching out to our community in the hope that they will get behind Forget Me Not Month – and have some FUN doing so.”
The hospice has also set up a donation code to make offing your support easy.
