HOOKER Matty Fozard grabbed three tries as Widnes Vikings returned to winning ways with a 56-16 triumph over Whitehaven.
The Vikings, handing debuts to Josh Johnson and Callum Field, got off to a shaky start with Josh Martin crossing from a kick on five minutes.
Widnes levelled when Ste Tyrer, Joe Edge and Lloyd Roby combined to send Fozard over for his first.
Vikings went in front though a Sam Wilde try, with a maiden touchdown from Owen Farnworth and one from Joe Lyons making it 24-6 at the break.
Second half tries from Joe Edge and Fozard's second made it 36-6.
