A BUSINESS park in Runcorn will be hosting a special community event to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The event at The Heath and Business Technical Park is also being held as part of its Eat@TheHeath programme to combat loneliness and isolation for those who live alone.
Eileen Miller, The Heath’s site charter and community manager, said: “At the end of each month we organise a ‘Eat@TheHeath lunch for local residents but we are delaying our May luncheon by a week so that we can stage a special celebration that will coincide with The Queen’s Jubilee.
“Guests who attend on Wednesday, June 1, will have an afternoon tea with Bucks Fizz and non-alcoholic drinks and be entertained by singer ‘Lainey’ with lots of patriotic songs.
“We want everyone who attends to wear something red, white or blue, or indeed all three colours, for what is sure to be a wonderful and celebration to commemorate The Queen’s 70th anniversary.
“Our monthly lunch get-togethers are proving incredibly popular with local residents, but it is essential that anyone wishing to attend must book their place as we are certain to be over subscribed.”
Bookings can be made by emailing eileen.miller@SOG.ltd.uk but numbers are limited.
