A MAN from Widnes has been charged with drug offences after being stopped by police.
Tyrone Grimes was arrested at around 1.30pm yesterday, Wednesday, after being stopped by officers in a vehicle on Hale Road in the town.
The 25-year-old, of Bell House Road, was taken into custody for questioning.
Cheshire Police has confirmed he has since been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and assaulting a police officer.
Grimes appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday.
