A MAN has been found dead after emergency services were called over concerns for his welfare.
Cheshire Police said the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious after officers were alerted on Monday, May 9.
Residents say several police cars, an ambulance, scenes of crime officers and police dogs were at the scene.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Officers were called at around 3pm on Monday 9 May to an address on Irwell Street following a concern for the safety of a man.
“Police and paramedics swiftly attended the scene.
“Sadly, a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.”
