PRIMARY school pupils have taken part in a two-day litter picking extravaganza.
Year two students at Oakfield Community Primary School in Widnes joined forces with Halton Borough Council’s Waste Management Team to clean up the area.
Teacher Claire McGuffie said: “We are delighted at how our children have taken responsibility collectively, to want to improve our local area and make a difference.
“We are all so proud of how hard our children worked and how they shared their enthusiasm for caring for the environment with their families. We would like to thank the waste management team for supporting the children with the programme.”
