BUSINESSES across Widnes and Runcorn are being urged to enter the Halton Business Awards 2022.

Applications are now open for entry for these long standing and highly valued, local business awards and with 12 different categories, covering every size and sector and multiple entries allowed, there is an opportunity for all organisations to enter and get involved.

“We are delighted to be launching ‘The Halton Business Awards 2022’, it’s an incredible opportunity for our local businesses to gain the recognition they deserve, celebrate success and share their incredible achievements," explained Val Allen, Chair of Halton Chamber of Commerce.

“The Borough is very much open for business and home to some fantastic organisations and exceptional talent.”

The Halton Business Awards, organised by Halton Chamber of Commerce, have been an annual event since 2008 with the last awards receiving a record number of applications and attracting over 400 business leaders and VIPs to the Gala Dinner.

Covid restrictions meant that this event had to be put on hold in 2020 and 2021 so the team are determined to ensure that this year’s celebration is the biggest and best yet. “Understandably it’s been a troublesome time for businesses throughout the pandemic, yet despite the magnitude of Covid-19, Halton Businesses have continued to excel and adapt in ways they did not envisage, out of adversity comes opportunity and the businesses based in the Borough and their workforces have done some amazing things.” explained Richard Bamber, previous Awards winner and owner of Anthony’s Travel.

“I am delighted that after a near two year break the Halton Business Awards is returning. The Halton Business Awards gives local companies the opportunity to showcase the good work they have been doing whilst recognising team members who have continued to go the extra mile.

"In a business world short of positive news, it’s wonderful to see the businesses of Runcorn & Widnes get recognition for their endeavours “

The Glitzy Gala Dinner on June 10 will see organisations from across Widnes and Runcorn come together to celebrate outstanding achievements at the glittering Gala Dinner held in the Marquee Suite at Halton Stadium.

“There are many benefits to be gained from entering these awards, it can help raise your profile, increase credibility, boost morale and help attract new talent as well as new business," continued Rachael Owen, Chief Executive of Halton Chamber of Commerce. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone that helps deliver these Awards, especially ‘DCBL’ who are back on board as the main Sponsor and local organisations ‘CP&D’ and ‘Mersey Print’, who do so much behind the scenes. These Awards are open to all Halton based organisations, across all sectors and sizes and once again, completely free to enter, we’re hoping that everyone will get involved”
