SANTA Claus and his elves raised more than £7,000 by touring Runcorn on his sleigh over Christmas.
The festive float raised funds for Camp Project Wales, a community scheme which provides free annual camping holidays for children aged 10 to 12 in Halton every summer.
Camp Project Wales has held the fundraiser for 20 years and has been active in the community for more than 40 years, with kids having the opportunity to canoe, swim, ride horses and play beach games during their breaks.
And the charity visited even more streets across the town during 2021 than in previous years, covered 16 areas across 12 days in December.
More than 50 volunteers helped to run the float, with several businesses providing donations to spread Christmas cheer.
Sophie Robinson from Camp Project Wales said: “We want to thank the Runcorn community for their support and generosity.”
