A FORMER Runcorn student has fulfilled his dreams of styling the cover of Vogue.

As a young boy, Danyul Brown would pick up the latest copy of the magazine and tell his mum that he was going to style the cover one day.

And this is just what he did – styling Paris Jackson for the cover of the internationally-renowned fashion magazine.

Danyul, who is originally from Runcorn, said: “I have always set a very high standard of goals for my life and career so I think I had always lived with the mindset of not if, but when.

“It was when I was studying at Priestley College that I interned at Alexander McQueen in London and I think it was around then I knew anything was achievable if I put in the work.”

The 29-year-old now lives in Los Angeles and has styled numerous celebrities for magazine shoots, promotional campaigns and red carpet events.

His extensive portfolio includes working with John Legend, Joe Jonas, Leighton Meester, Demi Lovato, The Kid Laroi and Conor Maynard to name just a few.

“Working with one of my closest friends on such an exciting project was no less than special,” he said.

“A Vogue cover, for any stylist, is an exciting milestone to hit, but to have hit it with somebody I care deeply about made it that little bit more meaningful.”

As stylist for the shoot, Danyul was responsible for curating and executing all of the outfits and fashion seen throughout the feature.

He said a project of this sort takes anywhere from two to three months of research and preparation.

Danyul, who attended Halton High School, now Orminston Bolingbroke Academy, added: “It is incredibly high-pressured, but that’s when I work best and the excitement of a fast-paced environment is where I achieve great things.

“I set myself a new goal every day.

“There is no finish line.”

During his time at Priestley College Danyul studied media studies, fine art, graphics design and business studies before starting his career at Alexander McQueen.
