MOTORISTS are warned to expect delays amid planned closures on the Silver Jubilee Bridge next week.

A lane on the northbound carriageway will be closed for five days from Monday, December 6, between 9am and 4pm due to cable inspections.

A spokesman for Halton Borough Council said: "We anticipate that the inspection team will need to access two to three cables per day, working northwards from the middle of the bridge.

"The traffic management measures will include two-way temporary signals, but we are aiming to keep the site area as compact as possible to minimise traffic disruption."
