A THUG who beat up two police officers has been handed a prison sentence by the magistrates.
Sean McDaid, of Fisher Avenue, Orford, appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker as well as failing to comply with the requirements of post-custodial supervision.
The attacks committed by McDaid were both committed on the same day – October 26.
The court also found that the offence was aggravated by being committed against emergency workers who were ‘acting in the exercise of functions’.
McDaid was also described as having a ‘flagrant disregard’ for court orders.
The 37-year-old was handed a six-week prison sentence.
