THE illuminated Christmas trail at Delamere Forest has been cancelled this evening, Friday, due to weather conditions.
Christmas at Delamere Forest, which was due to open to the public tonight, November 26, will not go ahead because of high winds, event organisers have confirmed.
They added: "This has not been an easy decision to make, and we realise that it will come as a disappointment to visitors who had booked tickets, however the safety of our visitors (and staff) is, of course, our number one priority.
"All visitors who had booked for Christmas at Delamere Forest on this date will receive an email from Forestry England or See Tickets detailing your ticket options.
"We are currently assessing the impact of the weather conditions on whether we can open the Christmas at Delamere Forest trail tomorrow.
"If the weather presents a hazard and a risk to safety, any decision to cancel the trail will be taken at 2pm each day."
