PIZZA Hut has confirmed that its Runcorn restaurant is to close.
The chain’s restaurant in the town, which is located at Trident Retail Park, will close its doors for the final time later this month.
Customers will be able to dine at the Runcorn branch for the final time up to Sunday, November 28.
Pizza Hut says it is ‘saddened’ to close its Runcorn branch, but commented that the decision is ‘beyond its control’.
The chain adds that it will try to relocate members of staff at other restaurants in the wider area to minimise the impact of the closure.
A spokesman for Pizza Hut said: “Like many hospitality businesses, Pizza Hut has faced disruption due to the pandemic.
“We are saddened by the upcoming closure of our restaurant at Trident Retail Park in Runcorn, however this was beyond our control.
“Wherever possible, we always try to redeploy our team members to other Pizza Hut restaurants in order to minimise the impact to our workforce.
“Our Runcorn restaurant will continue to be open until November 28, after which you can continue to enjoy Pizza Hut through dine-in at our nearby restaurants in Warrington, St Helens and Speke.”
