A DISQUALIFIED drink driver has been jailed after admitting five offences.
Carl Bennett, of Queensway Street, St Helens, was arrested on Watkinson Way in Widnes on Monday by Cheshire Police Roads and Crimes Unit.
The 47-year-old was given a roadside breath test and blew 131, almost four times over the legal limit.
The defendant admitted five offences when he appeared at North Cheshire Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Bennett pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis for a breath test at the northern custody suite in Runcorn on Monday.
He admitted driving a Ford Transit van whilst disqualified on November 14 and 15, without insurance.
Magistrates revoked a conditional discharge he had been given previously for drink driving in Merseyside and replaced the sentence with a two month jail term.
Bennett was ordered to serve a total of four months for all six offences, given a five year ban and ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge.
