A POLICE incident occurred on the Silver Jubilee Bridge this afternoon, Wednesday.
Officers were called to the River Mersey crossing at around 2.30pm.
This came after they received reports from a member of the public concerned about the safety of a man on the bridge.
After their arrival at the scene, police were able to talk to the man and lead him to a position of safety.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Shortly before 2.30pm on Wednesday, November 17, police attended to concerns for the safety of a man on the Silver Jubilee Bridge, Queensway in Runcorn.
“Officers engaged with the man and a short time later he came safely down from the bridge.”
