A BUSINESS owner was greeted by an abandoned ‘giant’ catfish on his doorstep when he turned up to work on Saturday.
The 12-inch fish was left outside Premier Aquatics Ltd at Heath Business Park.
Owner, Steven Chester, said: “It is not a normal thing to happen – I’ve worked all over, including Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium, and I’ve never ever seen that happen before.
“It caught us by surprise.”
Steven thinks it is an abandoned pet that has most likely outgrown its tank.
Premier Aquatics Ltd don’t usually accept large fish, but Steven has had no choice but to take this one in.
He is searching for a new home for the catfish – although it needs to be someone with a large tank.
