RESIDENTS are being reminded to renew their annual Merseyflow discount plans.

This month marks the fourth anniversary of the opening of the Mersey Gateway Bridge, with more than 14,000 memberships due for renewal during October as a result.

Those who do not sign up again before their expiry date will lose their discounted rates and could be fined for any unpaid crossings of the new bridge or the Silver Jubilee Bridge.

Merseyflow managing director Neil Conway said: “Renewing your discount plan is straightforward, and those residents who used this last year will understand the process.

“The quickest and easiest way to renew is on the Merseyflow website, but customers can also do it by calling our customer service team or at our walk-in centre.

“It’s important to make sure you have an active plan in place to continue to benefit from your discount on Mersey Gateway and Silver Jubilee Bridge crossings, and to avoid being issued with a penalty charge notice.

“We’re proactively contacting all Halton residents whose plans are due to expire to encourage them to renew as soon as possible.”
