A FIRE involving fly-tipped rubbish in Runcorn is believed to have been deliberate.
Firefighters were called to reports of an outside fire in Runcorn at around 11:30am which was underneath the Silver Jubilee Bridge on an old slipway onto the bridge from Weston Point Expressway.
The fire team used a hose reel jet and a rake to extinguish the fire which was approximately three square metres.
They then used a thermal imaging camera to look for hotspots which were then damped down with the hose reel jet.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 20 minutes.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Anyone with any information about the fire should call Cheshire Constabulary on 101 or give the details via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/ro/report.
