A WOMAN who stole a bicycle from a police custody suite has been jailed.
Jane McGrath, of Museum Street in Warrington town centre, took the bike from a cycle store in the van dock area of Cheshire Police’s facility in Runcorn at around midday on Saturday, August 21.
The 43-year-old then caused ‘unsanitary damage to a cell’ following her arrest.
She was subject to supervision requirements at the time, following her release from a previous term of imprisonment.
McGrath, who is also known as Jane Barry, admitted burglary, criminal damage and failing to comply with supervision requirements at Warrington Magistrates Court on Monday, August 23.
She was locked up for 19 weeks and told to pay compensation of £55 plus a £73 victim surcharge.
