THE biggest indoor funfair in the UK is visiting Merseyside from this week.

The attraction will take over Liverpool Exhibition Centre for 12 days from August 11 to August 22 across a 90,000 sq.ft area with organisers promising there will be plenty of space for families to enjoy the event in a safe and relaxed environment.

The UK’s largest funhouse, the King Sizzler twist ride, the Scream Machine and a Mirror Maze are some of the attractions coming to Liverpool for the first time alongside all the usual fairground favourites.

Indoor Funfair director, John Lowery, said: “We’ve had a great response from people in Liverpool and right across the North West with some sessions already sold out.

“After what’s been a strange time for everyone, particularly children, we wanted to make this summer’s event extra special with bigger rides, higher inflatables and more of them.

“For 12 days the exhibition centre is being transformed into the most spectacular family funfair extravaganza the city has ever seen.

“We can’t wait to open and let the fun begin."

Organisers have also made efforts to support local communities, by donating 1,000 tickets to Everton in the Community and the LFC Foundation.

A special opening session is set to be held for families that are supported by the charities.

Three daily sessions will be on offer from 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm.

On August 12 and August 19, between 6pm and 9pm, there will be an autism-friendly session for those who have sensory needs. Venue lights will be turned on, music will be reduced to a low volume, ride lights will be off and rides will be slowed down where possible.

Pre-booked tickets are priced at £10, and give unlimited access to all rides for three hours. Spectator tickets are priced at £3.

Four wristbands can be bought online for a reduced price of £36.

Refreshments and prize games are not included in the ticket conditions.
