Three hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames
FIREFIGHTERS attended a large fire in the open on the M56 yesterday afternoon, Sunday.
Fire crew arrived at around 2pm to find a quantity of grass well alight at junction 15.
Two fire engines attended – one from Ellesmere Port and one from Runcorn.
Three hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames and the area was then damped down.
