THE ‘Queen’ of a care home in Widnes celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, July 17.
Peggy Fairhurst, born as Margaret Jones, celebrated her big day with a covid secure party with lots of banners, balloons, food, drinks, and a special cake.
Peggy was born in Widnes on July 17, 1921 and lived on Locket Road, Widnes, before moving to Millbrow Care home in Widnes.
The highlight of her day was receiving a special delivery from the Queen.
Staff described Peggy as ‘Queen’ of the care home in all the residents' and staffs' eyes.
