YOUNGSTERS were having a great time at Netherhall School’s playscheme in 1981.
Featured today are youngsters at All Saints School, Cockermouth Netherhall School, Maryport.
As well as enjoying themselves with arts and crafts — and all the mess that goes with that — they had fun building their own rockets in various shapes and sizes.
They also tried their hand at baking, learning about different recipes and ingredients, and getting used to weights and measurements.
But it’s fair to say they probably had more fun trying their tasty creations afterwards.
And the food was obviously good too, judging by the queue for lunch!
They were also able to learn about new skills such as carpentry, which the boys and girls seemed to enjoy in equal measure.
