FIREFIGHTERS tackled a lorry fire overnight.
Station Manager Bob Hoskins said crews were called to the A1 near junction 48 to a lorry fire at about 1.30am today (May 13).
The fire caused damage to the trailer, brakes and tyres but the cargo of sugar wasn't damaged.
The road was closed for a short period but reopened soon after.
