WARRINGTON Hospital has gone a full week with recording a single coronavirus death.
The positive news confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust comes after the Lovely Lane site discharged its 2,000th patient after recovering from Covid yesterday.

The trust’s virus death toll remains at 499 as a result.
As of this afternoon, Tuesday, 17 beds at Warrington Hospital are occupied by patients that have tested positive for Covid-19, of which one is in intensive care.

Two more patients were discharged in the past 24 hours after recovering from coronavirus, bringing the discharge total since the start of the pandemic to 2,009.
To date, the trust has conducted 93,349 tests for Covid-19, with 5,451 returning positive.
