TWO charity shops have been launched in St Helens town centre.
The Millennium Centre charity shops Second Chance and MC Books were opened on Bickerstaffe Street as part of a wholesale change to the organisation.
Since September last year, the TMC have had a whole new team and approach to their 21-year-old charity.
Previously, before the COVID-19 pandemic, it allowed charities and voluntary organisations to hire meeting rooms and therapy rooms for free.
However, due to the pandemic, this facility is limited and although it still offer its large meeting room, has directed its energies and resources into opening up two charity shops.
Second Chance is a vintage-style boutique and opened on Monday, April 19.
Meanwhile, MC Books opened its doors on Tuesday, May 4 and is situated next door to Spanish restaurant La Casa Vieja.
All books are donated and second hand, and there are fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

About the openings, the TMC said: "Our Millennium Quarter has been quoted: ‘Our Little Chelsea!’
"It looks so stylish and upmarket. 8 to 10 Bickerstaffe Street, starting with Second Chance, Millennium House, La Casa Vieja and finally, MC Books.
"Our aim is to be eco-friendly by using paper bags and tags with sting rather than plastic.
"We play vinyl records in keeping with our vintage theme. It caters for everyone and remains good quality and stylish."
All the proceeds from both shops will go back into the St Helens community, the charity said.
