A MOTORIST was caught speeding at more than 100mph in Runcorn yesterday evening, Sunday.

The male driver was stopped by Cheshire Police’s Roads and Crime Unit on the A557 Weston Point Expressway.

Officers checked his driving licence at the scene and discovered that he already had 30 penalty points.

It had also been revoked by the DVLA.

The driver will appear in court at a later date.

A tweet by the Roads and Crime Unit read: “Driver stopped for travelling at over 100mph on A557 Weston Point Expressway at Runcorn.

“On checking his driving licence, he already had 30 penalty points and it had been revoked by the DVLA.”
