FIRE crews removed an oven from a home in Runcorn following a fire on Tuesday.
They were called to Greenhouse Farm Road at 4.15pm.
Two fire engine attended, one from Runcorn and one from Widnes.
The crews found that the fire, which had begun in the kitchen, was out on arrival.
The homeowners had switched the oven off and called 999.
Friefighters removed the oven from the kitchen and placed it outside.
Firefighters checked the area with a thermal imaging camera.
A small amount of water was used to cool the integrated wooden units.
