A THIRTEEN-year-old boy was threatened with a knife in a park in Widnes yesterday evening.
The teenager was reportedly chased through Victoria Park by an attacker brandishing a blade at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 31.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a 16-year-old boy, from Widnes, on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place and using threatening behaviour in connection with the incident.
He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries by Cheshire Police.
A force spokesman said: “At 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 31, police were called to reports that a 13-year-old teenage boy had been threatened with a knife in Victoria Park.
“Officers attended the scene, and following a search of the local area they arrested a 16-year-old local boy on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and use of threatening an abusive language.
“The teenager has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.”
