HALF term during lockdown does not present many opportunities for youngsters having a break from school.

But help is at hand for some fun at home thanks to free activities hosted by two Cheshire attractions.

Delamere Forest is inviting children to get active in their garden or nearest green space with the Shaun the Sheep Farmageddon glow trail app.

An alien spaceship has crashed into Mossingham Forest and Shaun is on a mission to help lovable alien Lu-La.

By completing physical challenges you can help Lu-La charge up her communicator to get back home.

Meanwhile, Chester Zoo is calling all conservation codebreakers this week for half term.

Mini eco detectives can travel to five rainforests to meet the incredible species that live there before uncovering hidden clues to unlock a secret area on the zoo's website.

A spokesman said: "You'll discover what it’s like to work in the rainforest, pick up a few useful life skills to use at home and have fun playing games too."

Conservation Codebreaker online sessions are available until Friday here. For all the information about the Shaun the Sheep app game click here.
