A STOCKTON Heath singer is appearing on the new series of The Voice UK this Saturday.

Former Bridgewater High student Kim Jennett will be performing among the second set of blind try outs after last weekend's opening episode.

Warrington continues to be well represented on the ITV talent show – featuring will.i.am, Tom Jones and Olly Murs – as former St Gregory's student Mo Jamil won the televised competition in 2017. His housemate Max Vickers also reached the semi finals.

From her solo career to her work with blues rockers, Voodoo Blood, Kim has been a part of Warrington's music scene since she was a teenager.

She has performed at the likes of Download Festival but her big moment in the town centre was when she shared a stage with Scouting for Girls at Warrington Music Festival.

Sunday afternoon’s have been a regular spot in the schedule for the singer as she spent a number of hours performing originals and covers to her devote fanbase. Her next one is this Sunday at 7:30pm where she is joined by special guest Adam Breeze from Raveneye.

Kim told her supporters on Facebook: "Super buzzing to be on the telly box – tune in and check it out. Peace, love and thank you to all you lot that have followed me on my journey through the years. I appreciate you all."

You can watch Kim's progress and see whether she turns the chairs of the judges when The Voice UK airs on Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV.
